About Us

St James the Great, Cupar (SC019080), in partnership with St Mary's, Ladybank (SC002166), are two Churches in the Scottish Episcopal Church, which is part of the worldwide Anglican Communion.  We are within the Diocese of St Andrews, Dunkeld and Dunblane, where the Bishop is the Rt Rev Ian Paton.

We are currently in the midst of an interregnum due to the retirement of our last Rector, Fr. Roy Anetts. We would like to record our thanks to Roy and Kate for all their hard work and dedication during the past 5.5 years. During the two years of the pandemic they both kept in touch with everyone, checking to make sure they were alright and it was much appreciated by the members. We wish them both well in their new home and hope they have a very long and happy retirement.

We serve coffee and tea in church every Sunday after the 10:30 service.

We have full access for those in wheelchairs, an induction loop for those with hearing difficulties and Braille copies of the service.

If you require pastoral care during the vacancy please contact Revd Canon Professor Trevor Hart - rector.stasstas@gmail.com
